About this position

Job duties:

  • Sanitation- food safety kills in all aspects of the kitchen
  • Knife Skills- care of knives and basic knife cuts
  • Meat Preparation-basics if identifying, preparation and storage
  • Fruit and Vegetables-basics of identifying, preparation and storage
  • Presentation-applying finishes to meals for residents
  • Certification-achieving CFPM or Food Handler certification
  • Active Listening-Full ability to concentrate on what is being instructed
  • Culinary Math- Portion control to maintain consistency in production, and to compute food cost.
